Vice President, Client Relations in Wilmington, Delaware Office

Echo Research is currently seeking an experienced applicant for the position of Vice President, Client Relations in our Primary Research Unit in Wilmington, Delaware. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing client relationships within the U.S. and internationally in support of the company's overall strategic direction.

The selected candidate will be a strong revenue generator with a history of success and accomplishment. In addition, this candidate will possess excellent research skills, be detail-oriented, and have demonstrated ability to develop long term, consultative relationships with clients. The selected candidate must be able to write strategic proposals and have strong presentation skills. Expertise in one or more of the following sectors is required: financial services, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, telecom, technology, energy, public relations, or the social sciences.

There is an expected revenue target for the first year with anticipated revenue growth on a year-to-year basis. The candidate will be responsible for the creation and development of sales and marketing plans toward customer retention and growth strategies and for the execution of sales strategies and plans. In this position, you will plan, direct, coordinate and oversee the execution of projects/new business development activities. Echo Research follows a sell/do model that means involvement in and knowledge of the product and the customer.

The selected individual will have significant interaction with other key executives at the company to properly leverage resources in the execution of sales plans and projects sold to the customer and be sure that sales activities and execution are in support of the company's overall mission and strategic direction.

Qualifications for the Position

• Minimum 7 years market research supplier sales experience
• Sector expertise
• A proven track record of market research sales
• Excellent problem solving and analytical ability
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Some client-side experience a plus
• International research experience a plus
• Good computer skills: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Be a team player with a strong work ethic
• Be available to travel as needed

Compensation
