Echo Research beats economic downturn with global expansion of 21% in a year

Echo Research, specialists in brand and reputation research, has appointed three new senior directors with global remits, in healthcare, financial and professional services, and also Group Finance Director.

Clients have found that insight into their business, provided by Echo's research, gives them the knowledge to make essential decisions during tough economic times, cutting waste and driving efficiency.
As a result, Echo has grown by more than 21% in the last twelve months and the organisation has been busy finding the right talent and experience to cope with increasing demand for services.

New appointments

Ed Coke: Global Sector Head, Financial and Professional Services
With more than 15 years of experience of marketing research across a broad range of sectors, both with agencies and in-house, Ed Coke has been appointed as Global Sector Head, Financial and Professional Services, by Echo Research.

With a strong track record in developing and implementing market research programmes for numerous FTSE 100 companies, Ed's leadership has covered the full spectrum of quantitative and qualitative techniques. He is a passionate believer in teamwork, 'joined-up thinking' and actionable results, and appreciates the need for research to be placed in the wider context of business and communications issues clients face.

Ed joins the firm from Millward Brown UK, where he was an Account Director.

CEO Sandra Macleod said: " Ed will be a real asset to our global team. This is an exciting time for Echo as we expand internationally and continue to develop our services in line with clients' requirements for brand reputation and stakeholder assessments. Ed will be key in helping us to achieve this."

Tim Morley: Company Secretary and Group Finance Director
Management of complex global programmes is one of the skills brought to the table by Tim Morley, who has been appointed Company Secretary and promoted to Group Finance Director, at leading global reputation research organisation Echo Research.

Tim will have direct responsibility for all of Echo's financial operations across its offices in the UK, US and France.

CEO Sandra Macleod said: " I'm delighted that Tim has agreed to join our team. He is committed to helping Echo grow well and profitably, and will be working with all team members to ensure improved financial understanding, appreciation and management."

Tim was appointed for his understanding of professional services and the global public relations world. He also brings with him international experience of working in Dubai and opening new offices in Hong Kong and China. He was formerly Chief Financial Officer for International Operations at Manning, Selvage and Lee, owned by communications group Publicis.
