A Social Steward

In his letter to stakeholders in the company's 2006 corporate social responsibility report, Shinzo Maeda, president and CEO of global cosmetics giant Shiseido Co. Ltd., details the mission behind his company's corporate citizenship efforts. At the end of his pagelong letter, Maeda closes with this thought: "We will continue to provide products and services such as cosmetics that facilitate health and beauty. And as we do so we will also seek over the long term to earn the love of people around the world, doing our best to ensure that every individual can enjoy 'This moment. This life. Beautifully.'"
