Breakfast briefing 2020, London - Reputation value

Friday 28th February, London

Breakfast Briefing: Reputation – In the eye of the beholder or the eye of the storm?

Valuing reputation as a tangible, financial asset is recognised as best practice by a growing number of boards on both sides of the Atlantic. But how does this help Investor Relations and communications advisors support greater focus and impact in their organisations especially during times of change? Financial analysts are generally thought to base everything on hard financial evidence and trends – but how do they factor reputation into their calculations? What matters most in this pre-Brexit period of uncertainty and volatility, and how should organisations respond?

The event had the release of Reputation Dividend’s latest annual study of UK company reputation values and a lively discussion of the implications ahead, with Simon Cole and Sandra Macleod, founding partners of Reputation Dividend. They were joined by Sonya Ghobrial (independent Investor Relations specialist, founder of advisory company Clear Giraffe IR and former Head of Investor Relations at Heineken) and Greg Quine of Reputation Dividend, formerly at NatWest Capital Markets and JP Morgan where he was ranked as a top five equity analyst.

The event was hosted with support from The Ivy.
