Building resilience

March 2020

Resilience 1.  The capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness.  2. The ability to spring back into shape

If nothing else, recent events have put an uncomfortable spotlight on how inter-connected we are globally.  Aside from stress testing our systems and responses, these also highlight the importance of resilience.  Here are just three ways sound insight underpins organizational – and personal - resiliency:

  1. Early Warning Systems – through intelligent and human-led social listening and analysis
  2. Stakeholder Mapping – to assess trusted experts, connections and strength of relationships
  3. Predictive Analysis – gathering and integrating data from a variety of sources to provide greater clarity and understanding as to what drives behavior and how to better predict and guide the right outcomes, for the better.

The time for resilience is now.  Focusing on a common purpose and values is essential, keeping stakeholder needs and expectations front and centre, and avoiding risk blindness. There are no doubt many other ways to address this – as we continuously explore and learn together, I look forward to your thoughts on this.
